My first attempt at floating turtle cupcakes. The only difficult part was the heads. I had no idea how I should make them. I was pleased with the result but I want to try something different next time I make them.

These are really cute. I need to do a turtle themed cupcake tower for a little boys birthday and I really like these. Did you do this with all buttercream? Do you have any tips or tricks on what worked best for you?
I'm so sorry I took so long to respond. I haven't been keeping up to date with things here (that will change soon). Everything is made with buttercream. I did everything in layers. First the base, then let it chill, then the green part of the shell, then let it chill, then the so on and so forth. It's easier to fix and layer things when they are chilled.
